New members are always welcome in the Junior and Adult choirs - contact Julie De'Ath Lancaster for more details.

Junior Choir

Our Junior Choir is for boys and girls between the age of 7 - 16 years. Choir practice is held on Friday evenings from 6.30pm - 7.15pm and is run by Julie De'Ath Lancaster.

Background
The Junior Choir was set up by Canon Jane shortly after she moved to St Paul’s. She has a lot of previous experience with Portsmouth Cathedral choir and both her sons are choristers at Exeter Cathedral. Before this there hadn’t been a junior choir at St Paul’s for many years. The first priorities (after finding interested children) were to sort out the choir robes, practice times and service dates.

Services
The Junior choir participates regularly in Sunday morning services. On the 3rd Sunday of the month, there is no senior choir and the Junior choristers lead the singing on their own. They are also invited to attend special services at Easter, Christmas, and other important occasions in the church calendar, for example, Ash Wednesday and Harvest Thanksgiving.
